Each one of us goes through life with many dreams often, some of these go unrealized. Invariably the reason for this is a lack of guidance – we know what we want, but we don’t know how to go about it.
Going About Self Improvement. Self-improvement is an essential component of life since it allows us to achieve our goals. It involves making a plan of action and working out the best way to achieve it. Many self-improvement gurus suggest visualization, writing affirmations, hypnosis and so on as methods to help in self-improvement.
What Really Happens? The person who has the goal, say, of weight loss, will think in such a way that their efforts are focused towards losing weight. They think twice when they are offered a second helping of food. They think about eating healthy and lose the bad habit of snacking constantly – and all this because they WANT to achieve their goal of losing weight. It follows from this that the change is from inside the person and not just any outside influence, making it all the more successful and long lasting.
